Achin Vanaik is Professor of International Relations and Global Politics at the Department of Political Science, Delhi University, since 2004. He is also a nuclear specialist and has written extensively on India's nuclear policy. In 1998, in the wake of the India-Pakistan nuclear tests, Vanaik co-founded the Movement in India for Nuclear Disarmament (MIND), and South Asians Against Nukes. He is a co-recipient, with Praful Bidwai, of the International Peace Bureau's Sean McBride International Peace Prize for 2000 and editor of Selling US wars (2007).
