Advancing Peace Education for Health Practitioners

The workshop will look at the work that IPPNW affiliates have undertaken to improve the health practitioners' competence in peace issues, such as violence prevention, disarmament, human rights and sustainable development. It will give an introduction to the Medical Peace Work online course and will illustrate how this can be used to prepare people for IPPNW work in the future. Finally, it will concentrate on ways to disseminate and to institutionalize such peace education in both formal and informal settings.
